Ian has his roots in Larkhall, Scotland. He spent four years in the ‘ranks’ of Operation Mobilisation in France. He studied theology at Emmaus Bible School in Switzerland. Ian Newberry is married to Francoise. They have two children: Kariya and Michael. For over forty-five years, Ian and his wife Francoise have been involved in Church planting in France. They have seen several Churches ‘come out of the ground’. Ian is conference speaker and author of ten books on prayer. Ian and Francoise are based in Montpellier, France. Now all of their time is devoted to reviving the flame of prayer in the Church.

Over the past 20 years Ian has taught seminars on prayer mainly in France but also in Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, West Indies, and Africa. In Great Britain seminars have been conducted at International Christian College, Glasgow, At the G.L.O. Center Motherwell, in Kilmarnock, Falkirk, Paisley, Carlisle, London, Aberdeen and also in Northern Ireland. Over the years about 22000 people have attended one of these seminars on prayer.
