BLESSINGS MINIBUS & THE ACCIDENT PB

Blessings was a minibus. Every morning his driver parked him with all the other minibuses in Limbe. Each day he drove along the road between Limbe and Zomba ... he had lots of friends on the Zomba road. There were the goats outside Thondwe. The old woman at Namadzi selling vegetables. The laughing boys in the ox cart. Then there were the passengers. Some of them he knew by name. Some were friendly, others were grumpy: but he knew them all and even sime of their relatives.

The Adventures of Blessings Minibus are designed to help the children of contemporary Africa to understand the parables of Jesus and their message. Many people in Africa use minibuses on a daily basis so that everyone will enjoy reading about the adventures of Blessings Minibus and his friends. Although the stories are all set in Malawi, the beautiful illistrations of these little books will remind readers of the minibuses and car of their own countries and help them to follow the action for themselves. Each book has some Bible studies at the end to help those readers who want to study Jesus' parables more deeply.

Jonathan Newell has lived in Africa for 15 years. Initially, he worked as a university lecturer for 8 years in Malawi and Zimbabwe, but since 2002 he has been serving as a Christian missionary in Malawi. He is married with three children and lives in Blantyre.

Helen Kellock lives in Scotland and, amongst other things, works as a freelance artist. She visited Malawi in 2007 to work on the Blessings Minibus projest with Jonathan.
