Many churches today are overwhelmingly populated by women and children, to the point where some men see church as a foreign land. This is perhaps surprising as jesus began Christianity by choosing 12 men to follow him. Clearly, therefore, the Christian message is not one which alienates men. It is, and ought to be, attractive to men.

Perhaps the problem is the way that we have packaged Christianity in the modern world that has put many men off.

This book is for Christian men who would like to take themselves and their faith seriously and to be disciplined in the way they lead their Christian lives. Men need to be men, but they also need to be men of God, who live lives as Jesus lived.

The Church needs men, and men need the Church.

Stephen has a passion for mission including outreach to men. He lives with his wife and family in Lanarkshire. He is currently Director of GLO (Gospel Literature Outreach) based in Motherwell, although his work frequently takes him to other parts of the UK and abroad. Stephen is a Bible teacher and author of a number of books.
