BREAKING THE RULES PB

Children will enjoy the varied poems about familiar events in everyday life sometimes gently subversive and often with underlying citizenship themes. ‘Breaking the rules’ features both in obvious ways and also unexpectedly as readers are encouraged to think about being different, how to cope with peer pressure etc. Teachers will welcome this new collection which includes both fun and challenging poems with many that break the rules of conventional layouts. There will be shape poems, picture poems, haiku etc. (Coral has received requests for this sort of material which has curriculum links.)
