In earlier generations Christian parents daily gathered their families together to worship the living God.

The Scriptures were read and God was glorified in prayer, and frequently in praise.

Today, in most families, even professing Christian families, the Bible is a neglected book, and the teaching of biblical truths is often left to Sunday school teachers. Parents are generally more concerned that their children receive an education that will set them up for a life of financial reward.
