Mike Beaumont was born in 1950 in the great county of Yorkshire in the UK. He studied Modern Languages at the University of Durham and theology at London School of Theology and since then has lived in Manchester, Oxford and Teesside in the UK, Vancouver Canada, and Kottayam India. He is now semi-retired (which his wife Liz thinks is a laughable expression!), but has been a teacher, pastor, lecturer, author and BBC broadcaster. He has worked with churches and seminaries around the world, teaching, training and mentoring young people. His great passion is helping to make the Bible understandable for people today so they can see it is still as relevant as it ever was. He and his wife Liz have three grown-up married daughters, two of whom live in the UK and one in the USA. His grandchildren are one of the great joys of his life.
